Did Blogs Just Become SUPER DUPER Important Again? I Think So.

I’ve been blogging for YEARS … before I was blogging online, I was writing in journals … I love writing, always have … it brings me joy and peace to write (or type) my thoughts down … not only do I want to validate other people reading it, but it also acts as therapy for me … which is why if you read my blog, it reads how I would speak … we’ll just call it word vomit onto my website LOL.

With the new Google announcement about AIO and what it means for your website, it struck me that blogging just shot up in importance … again … Remember when blogging was cool? Ha ha ha … whelp, it’s going to be cool again … in a major way. Especially writing them YOURSELF … no ChatGPT authors, please … it needs to sound and be human … loud gulps from the audience?? Don’t worry … I can help …

If you don’t fancy yourself a writer, just pull from REAL LIFE experiences … write how you would speak about something you are already great at! If you are in the wedding and event industry find a tablescape that you dreamed up for a client … post photos in a blog post showcasing that design … and then just let your mind flow on the screen … discuss why you chose the linens, the flowers you wanted represented in the centerpiece … why the venue spoke to you and how the design elevated the backdrop of the trees at the location … it will maybe surprise you how quickly and easily writing can be when SOUNDING HUMAN is the most important aspect of it now … being a good writer isn’t the key to this … it’s speaking from authentic experience in your field … and if we are all good at what we do, that shouldn’t be too hard or too scary to do :)
